In League Cup Final (14.03.1981) match was used simple home shirt (photo in top left page, Graeme Souness H 1.3), in shirt not was special embroidery to this match. The special embroidery as was absent in matches League Cup Final 1981, 1982, 1983 & 1984. Main other. was made home shirt with special embroidery for League Cup Final 1981, but not used.

How you know match end 1-1 and was replay. In League Cup Final Replay (14.03.1981) match was used simple away shirt. Read here (page I else not write).

Was used a special one-off match embroidery in capital letters "F.L. CUP FINAL WEMBLEY 1981 LIVERPOOL F.C." on the chest of the shirt. The badge is very similar in size and style to that used for the 1977 European Cup Final (right inage).

This home shirt (with special match embroidery) not was used in this match, was used home shirt without a special embroidery to this match. Why Liverpool not used home shirt with special match embroidery, I now not know. As how before start match Liverpool players to go in pitch in tracksuit top with special match embroidery (on right photo Terry McDermott).

As writes the user Red In Leiden - "This is a player shirt and was produced for Liverpool FC for the 1981 League Cup Final. Unfortunately, it was determined by the powers that be that the badge was too large and Liverpool were prohibited from wearing it. The team ended up playing the match in their normal 'Liverbird' home shirt.

I have one of these shirts with a letter from Roy Evans, trainer at the time, stating that he wore the shirt at the match whilst sat on the bench."

I to find on video with this match place Liverpool bench/ On photo Joe Fagan, Bob Paysley (Manager), Roy Evans & Ronnie Moran. Roy Evans is dressed in usual clothes. Certainly, at Joe Fagan under a jacket, can and the home shirt with special embroidery is dressed, but it is possible to guess it just now.

Interesting fact. But Jimmy Case to go on substitute removes not a sports jacket, and a goalkeeper shirt (at the left). On the right Steve Heighway after a match, it has been substituted on 67'. On it as the goalkeeper shirt (with number 1) is put on. Why so, most likely, thus at Liverpool the spare player has noted been.
