  * * - Unknown me now which goalkeeper kits used in this matches.

In 1985 Liverpool changed their kit manufacturer after a long association with Umbro. The new kit supplier was Adidas and the new kit was actually in use at the end of the 1984-85 season for the fateful Heysel European Cup Final. The first Adidas Liverpool kit was plain red with the three Adidas stripes in white on the shoulders and the sides of the shorts. The stripe effect also carried on through the V-neck of the shirt along with the end of the sleeves, Within the stripes of the shirt the Liver bird and the Adidas badge are repeated and can only be seen on close inspection, The club sponsors remained Crown Paints.

This was not first in history club, when in one of match end season, Liverpool used kits next season. This was how in Friendly, as in official matches. For example, in matches:
European Cup Final, vs Juventus (Turin, Italy), 29.05.1985.

This two fragments with pre-seasons Liverpool team photos. Left image, Bob Bolder, Jan Molby & Bruce Grobbelaar, season 1985-86. Right image, Mike Hooper, Gary Gillespie & Bruce Grobbelaar, season 1986-87. Of this photos can understand, first, what may be yellow goalkeeper shirt, was two this seasons how home goalkeeper shirt. On this moment I not have official information, which color was home goalkeeper shirt, green or yellow color. Second, in left image, Liverpool goalkeepers dressings in goalkeeper shirt with CROWN PAINTS logo in one line. Why this interesting, simple first half season 1985-86, Liverpool goalkeepers used shirts with CROWN PAINTS logo in two lines.

Second home
Interesting fact: For seasons 1985-86 & 1986-87 was made 5 (as I now know) different for design and color goalkeeper shirts, green, yellow, white, blue and black-green.

Course in middles 80s not was name for goalkeepers shirt how "Second home goalkeeper shirt" or "Fourth goalkeeper shirt". This name goalkeeper shirt for classification on my site.

Of 5 this goalkeeper shirts, 4 was uses in matches, have photos. Only on this day not photo used goalkeeper shirt white color. Now me not know when and which matches was used "Fourth goalkeeper shirt".

Have else one interesting, why for season 1985-86 was made 3 different for design goalkeepers shirts?

In season 1985-86, Liverpool starter in shirt Crown Paints on two lines, but after New Year, the design Crown Paints logo was change, written on one line. Why was change sponsor logo, I not know (may be with problems with TV).

In season 1986-87, Liverpool again starter in shirt Crown Paints on two lines. Written on two lines so it became larger (and easier to see on a TV screen), The shirt badges upon the replica shirts are an embossed material where as they would have been fully stitched upon the players issue shirts, a trend that has been seen through the majority of Liverpool shirt since.

In season 1985-86, Liverpool used home goalkeeper shirt with special embroidery, this was in match FA Cup Final (10.05.1986).

Interesting fact. What know me. How I think photo can to do in away match with 27.071985 to 22.10.1985, course cans other data.
Left image, Phil Neal captain, on it is dressed in third kits (all yellow).
Pay attention what a goalkeeper shirt it is dressed on Bruce Grobbelaar. On goalkeeper shirt without CROWN PAINTS logo, but have special embroidery. On this match Bruce Grobbelaar can dressed change goalkeeper shirt with European Cup Final (29.05.1985). This hirt have turn down green collar.
Right image, My friend Michael Yip on Face book page The Liverpool Shirts Museum help to me and also to interrogation in occasion of when this match has been lead. Thanks Michael for help to me.
The visitor Anders Halvorsen Fehn semd this photo, Bruce Grobbelaar in save. Photo in left and right may be made in one match.

Once again there were two different types of sponsorship logos worn by the players; a double-lined version (shown above) and a single-lined version. The general consensus amongst collectors is that the single-lined sponsored version is slightly rarer; however I only seek one of the designs as the two shirts are otherwise identical. Genuine match worn shirts feature an embroidered Adidas badge (with two registered ® trademarks) and an embroidered Liverbird. No long sleeve replicas were ever released. If you cannot distinguish a player shirt from a replica or a semifinished item, consult to Michael Yip (www.liverpoolkits.com).
