In a season 1986-87 the design away goalkeeper shirt has changed. Liverpool used away goalkeeper shirt two seasons, 1986-87 & 1987-88. Liverpool used away goalkeeper shirt how in home, as and in away matches.

A G 1.0 - Away goalkeeper shirt with second home shorts & second home socks.

I think, Liverpool used away goalkeeper shirt not only in one match.

The new kit for the 1987-88 season showed only a few subtle changes from the previous season. The Adidas stripes on the shirt now extended all the way down the sleeve and the collar was changed to a curious wrap-over design seen for the first time on Liverpool shirts, Although plain red there is a very faint wide stripe that runs through the shirt in almost the same colour, the stripe being a slightly more shiny material, Within the stripes of the shirt the Liver bird and the Adidas badge are repeated and can only be seen on close inspection.

The major change on this shirt being the badge design that was also changed, with the Liver bird now placed in a new shield design with the words Liverpool Football Club written below, This is the same badge that would be used for a number of years after this shirt, The badges stayed an embossed material with the players shirts being stitched.

By now Crown Paints had decided on the best way to display their logo on the front of the shirt and the logo was not seen again on only the one line as had been the case on previous shirts.

The only difference for this home shirt introduced in 1988 was the sponsors badge, Crown Paints were replaced as sponsors by the electrical manufacurers Candy after the 1987-88 season. They chose to have their logo in red on the away shirts and white on the home shirt as can be seen in this picture with it is left.

In 1988 the agreement with U K firm Crown Paints has ended six-year and Liverpool has signed three-year the agreement with Italy firm Candy. The agreement with Candy will end in a season 1991-92.

Attention! If you wish to buy a player shirt Liverpool on the Internet auction, be close. Be careful of a fake or purchases of a player shirt a semi finished item. The semi finished item is when on a game shirt added patches (Premier League or other tournaments), a logo "Carlsberg", a surname and number of the player. One of large collectors of shirt of Liverpool Michael Yip warns about unfair sellers from Hong Kong. It concerns shirt not only last decade, but also 80 and 90 years. If you cannot distinguish a player shirt from a replica or a semi finished item, consult to Colin Wrights or Michael Yip.
