Liverpool Youth teams used shirt without a sponsor Carlsberg logo. Reserves and Youth teams not have family name players in back side shirt. Number player (start line numbers only with 1 on 11) in Reserves and Youth teams in back shirt not how shirt 1st team.

Why Liverpool used for Cup Winners Cup matches shirt with small Carlsberg logo and no REEBOK letters in REEBOK logo, answer simp. The rules of UEFA has established the certain size of advertising on a shirt and consequently some changes have been made.

Reebok's first kit design for Liverpool incorporates several features intended to recall Liverpool teams of old. The home kit is plain red with little trim. The current Shankly gates and Hillsborough flame badge is set into a large oval, as in the kits of the 50s and 60s. The turn over collar is more of a break with tradition however, and is the first to appear on a Liverpool kit since the bad old days of Second Division football.

Again the shirt sported the extra badge on the bottom of the shirt on the outside, This time the badge said simply "Reebok, Official Merchandise" along side a smaller version of the same Liver bird badge as seen on the chest of the shirt, The collar was all white apart from a red stripe that ran through it, This strip also appeared on the white band at the end of the sleeves.

The badge was a curious design as the oval badge was a completely separate piece of material that had been sewn onto the shirt, the badge was stitched and not embossed in any way, The shirt did not display a stripe for the first time in a while, instead a very faint image of the Liver Bird can be seen running through out the shirts material, whether this was great attention to detail or a way to make it harder for the shirt to be copied by the fake market remains to be seen.

Interesting fact. Robbie Fowler - 'Support the 500 Sacked Dockers'

Punished: Fowler was fined 2,000 Swiss Francs by UEFA's Control and Disciplinary Committee

The Liverpool striker was fined 2,000 Swiss Francs by UEFA after revealing a shirt that gave support to striking Liverpudlian dock workers in 1997. Liverpool were up against Brann Bergen in a European Cup Winners' Cup match and won 3-0 after a brace from Fowler.

Not know all Liverpool players was in this t-shirt, but I know what Steve McManaman was in this t-shirt.

In 1996 Liverpool changed their kit manufacturer after a long association with Adidas 1985 to 1996 & will again sign deal with 2006 to 2012. In 1996 was signed deal with kit manufacturer Reebok 1996 to 2004.

How to distinguish a shirt of a season 1996-97, from a shirt of a season 1997-98, very difficultly. Certainly, were for this time of change in design of a family name player and number (to look in below). Also on player of a season 1996-97 used embroidered Reebok logo with ONE the small registered mark (circled-R), but  on player of a season 1996-97 used embroidered Reebok logo with TWO the small registered mark (circled-R).

Distinction between a player shirt used in matchs Premier League and used in matchs European Cup in seasons 1996-98

Player shirt used in the European Cup ties differs from the standard Premier League player shirt in having small Carlsberg sponsor logo as well as the simplified manufacturer motif REEBOK on the chest.

On shirt in Cup Winners Cup have embrouder REEBOK logo, when we not to look writen name REEBOK (in left), in right usual REEBOK logo for player shirt (season 1997-98).

In European Cup matches in Liverpool shirt rubber embossed Carlsberg logo, have small size, not how in Premier League shirt. Also in shirt for Cup Winners Cup not have the "Official Licensed Product" tag (right side).

The semifinished item is when on a game shirt add stripes (Premier League or other tournaments), a logo "Carlsberg", a surname and number of the player.
