In a season 2001-02 the design away goalkeeper shirt has changed. Liverpool used away goalkeeper shirt two seasons, 2001-02 & 2002-03. Only in season 2002-03, this shirt was used how third goalkeeper shirt. Liverpool used away goalkeeper shirt how in home, as and in away matches. Liverpool used goalkeeper shirt, how with short and long sleeve. In season 2001-02, Liverpool used with away shirt different kits:

Reserves and Youth teams not have family name players in back side shirt. Number player (start line numbers only with 1 on 11) in Reserves and Youth team in back shirt not how shirt 1st team.

In this moment I know what Liverpool F.C. players Main, Reserves and Youth teams used 5 variants away goalkeeper shirts (in left side page and down page). How you to see, different how in design name player and player numbers (3 variants) and without name player, as with and without patches (3 variants). Also was used home shirt with special embroidery (2 variants).

In season 2001-02 on away goalkeeper shirt used big Carlsberg logo. Only for matches Champions League & Super Cup used shirt with small Carlsberg logo.

About size Carlsberg logo on goalkeeper shirt in season 2001-02. This two photo Jerzy Dudek   with matches Premier League. Left image, Jerzy Dudek in away match versus Leeds United (03.02.2002) on Jerzy Dudek dress home goalkeeper shirt with small Carlsberg logo. Left image, Jerzy Dudek in home match versus Tottenham Hotspur (22.09.2001) on Jerzy Dudek dress away goalkeeper shirt with big Carlsberg logo.

In season 2001-02, Liverpool used away shirt with special embroidery, for match Asia Tour (16.07.2001) and with special patch & embroidery, for match Super Cup (24.08.2001).

But those shirts issued for use in the Premier League possessed a much larger Carlsberg logo, roughly 27.5cm wide. The Carlsberg logo on a player shirt was also made of a much thicker plastic on the players’ jerseys in addition to ‘thick border’ to the letters as well. Player shirts also did NOT have a ‘hydromove’ logo located at right sleeve of the shirt.

How to distinguish a away shirt of a season 2001-02, from a third shirt of a season 2002-03, very difficultly, but I now not know.

Attention! The 2000-02 home match shirt has three major differences from a replica. 1) The shirt has a large Carlsberg logo that is 27cm wide. 2) The Reebok logo on the chest is made from rubber and NOT embroidered into the shirt. 3) There is NO ‘hydromove’ logo on the right sleeve. Match issued shirts for the UEFA cup had the smaller Carlsberg logo but still had rubber Reebok logos and no ‘hydromove’ tags to help differentiate them from replicas. Obviously the shirts used in the Premier League with large Carlsberg logos are much more valuable than the UEFA Cup shirts with small Carlsberg logos. If you cannot distinguish a player shirt from a replica or a semifinished item consult to Michael Yip (www.liverpoolkits.com).
