In a season 2001-02 the design euro shirt has changed. Liverpool used euro shirt two seasons, 2001-02 & 2002-03. Liverpool used euro shirt only in all home, as and in more away matches, but only in European tournament (Champions League).

E 1.0 - Euro shirt (patch Champions League & small Carlsberg logo & player number № 2) with euro shorts (without emblem Barclays Premier League in player number) & euro socks.
E 1.1 - Euro shirt (without patch & small Carlsberg logo & player number № 2) with euro shorts (without emblem Barclays Premier League in player number) & euro socks.
E 1.2 - Euro shirt (without patch & without Carlsberg logo & player number № 2) with euro shorts (without emblem Barclays Premier League in player number) & euro socks.

Liverpool wore this shirt in both Europe competitions and the Premier League so there are two variations of the player shirt. The European shirt has a Carlsberg logo the same size as the replicas shirts, but those shirts issued for use in the Premier League possessed a much larger Carlsberg logo, roughly 27.5cm wide. A match worn shirt can be identified by NO hydromove logo on the right sleeve, and NO neck label transfer on the neck. Replicas all had a white box stating the shirt size in the back of the shirt.

If in seasons 2002-03 for player shirt used big Carlsberg logo, For matches Champions League & UEFA Cup was used shirt with small Carlsberg logo. For goalkeeper shirt in all tournamrnts used shirt with small Carlsberg logo. In season 2003-04 change Premier League logo, used this design logo only one season.

Liverpool player shirt comes without a Carlsberg logo on the crest position owing to ban of beer sponsoring in countries like France.

Oh this moment I know what in season 2002-03 was used some variants Euro shirts, which different not only longs sleeves, but and other details (to see below). In one of matches Champions League & UEFA Cup Liverpool can used Euro shirt which have short sleeve with embroidered REEBOK write and red label with Liverbird as and Euro shirt which have short sleeve with embossed REEBOK write and without red label with Liverbird (photo below). Why as was, I not know. May be as also was used Euro shirt, which have long sleeve.

This screen shots Liverpool players with away Champions League match versus Valencia C F (Spain) (17.09,2002), on Liverpool players John Arne Riise, Djimi Traore, Michael Owen dress Euro shirt with short sleeve, without red label on cuff. On Euro shirt with short sleeve, can to see red label with Liverbird on cuff, dress on Danny Murphy.

How to distinguish a euro shirt of a season 2001-02, from a euro shirt of a season 2002-03, very difficultly, not only on a label under a collar, but and other details (to see and read below).

In a season 2001-02, on game shirts under a collar there is no label with a size, but in a season 2002-03 label with a size is.

Today (08.08.2002) Liverpool announce the continuation of the longest running sponsorship in the Premier League for another 3 years.

The deal, which could earn the Reds J15 million depending on performances over the next three years, is the most lucrative in the club's history and extends Liverpool's 10 year partnership with the brewing giants.

Chief Executive Rick Parry said: "We are very pleased. This three-year deal is capable of raising upwards of J15 million. A small part of the deal is performance-related but were not worried about that.

"Our partnership with Carlsberg has been for 10 years and is now the longest in the Premiership so we are obviously very happy with the way it's gone."

This puts paid to the rumors that 'Coca-Cola' were to be Liverpool's new sponsor, this was not being looked forward to by the average Liverpool fan due to the huge amount of commercialism it may have brought to the club, The continuation of the Carlsberg deal is a very welcome announcement.

Attention! If you wish to buy a player shirt Liverpool on the Internet auction, be close. Be careful of a fake or purchases of a player shirt a semifinished item. The semifinished item is when on a game shirt add stripes (Premier League or other tournaments), a logo "Carlsberg", a surname and number of the player. One of large collectors of shirt of Liverpool Michael Yip warns about unfair sellers from Hong Kong. It concerns shirt not only last decade, but also 80 and 90 years. If you cannot distinguish a player shirt from a replica or a semifinished item, consult to Colin Wright (www.lfcshirtcollector.com) or Michael Yip (www.liverpoolkits.com).
