In a season 2001-02 the design third shirt has changed. Liverpool used third shirt three seasons, 2000-01, 2001-02 & 2002-03. Only in season 2000-01, this shirt was used how euro shirt. In season 2001-02, this shirt was used how away shirt. In season 2002-03, Liverpool used with third shirt different kits:
  Third shorts and third socks
Third shorts (and second third socks
Second third shorts and second third socks

Reserves team and Youth teams not have family name players in back side shirt. Number player (start line numbers only with 1 on 11) in Reserves team and Youth teams in back shirt not how shirt 1st team.

In season 2002-03 on player shirt used big Carlsberg logo. Only for match's Champions League & UEFA Cup used shirt with small Carlsberg logo. For goalkeeper shirt in all tournamrnts used shirt with small Carlsberg logo.

But those shirts issued for use in the Premier League possessed a much larger Carlsberg logo, roughly 27.5cm wide. The Carlsberg logo on a player shirt was also made of a much thicker plastic on the players’ jerseys in addition to ‘thick border’ to the letters as well. Player shirts also did NOT have a ‘hydromove’ logo located at right sleeve of the shirt.

How to distinguish a third shirt of a season 2002-03, from a away shirt of a season 2001-02, very difficultly, but I now not know.

Third shirt with third shorts & third socks was worn in match:

02.02.2003   away   W H U   Premier League

Third shirt with third shorts & second third socks was worn in match's:

04.08.2002   away   A C Milan   Friendly
18.12.2002   away   Aston V   League Cup
05.04.2003   away   Manchester U   Premier League

Third shirt with second third shorts & second third socks was worn in match's:

12.11.2002   away   F C Basel   Champions League
26.01.2003   away   Crystal P   FA Cup

Today (08.08.2002) Liverpool announce the continuation of the longest running sponsorship in the Premier League for another 3 years.

The deal, which could earn the Reds Ј15 million depending on performances over the next three years, is the most lucrative in the club's history and extends Liverpool's 10 year partnership with the brewing giants.

Chief Executive Rick Parry said: "We are very pleased. This three-year deal is capable of raising upwards of Ј15 million. A small part of the deal is performance-related but were not worried about that.

"Our partnership with Carlsberg has been for 10 years and is now the longest in the Premiership so we are obviously very happy with the way it's gone."

This puts paid to the rumors that 'Coca-Cola' were to be Liverpool's new sponsor, this was not being looked forward to by the average Liverpool fan due to the huge amount of commercialism it may have brought to the club, The continuation of the Carlsberg deal is a very welcome announcement.

Attention! If you wish to buy a player shirt Liverpool on the Internet auction, be close. Be careful of a fake or purchases of a player shirt a semifinished item. The semifinished item is when on a game shirt add stripes (Premier League or other tournaments), a logo "Carlsberg", a surname and number of the player. One of large collectors of shirt of Liverpool Michael Yip warns about unfair sellers from Hong Kong. It concerns shirt not only last decade, but also 80 and 90 years. If you cannot distinguish a player shirt from a replica or a semifinished item, consult to Colin Wright or Michael Yip.
