In a season 1956-57 the design second home shirt has changed. Liverpool used second home shirt one season, 1956-57 (time of use shirt is probably inexact). Liverpool used home shirt how in more (?) home, as and in more (?) away matches. In season 1956-57 also used home shirt (V-neck collar & Liverbird).

S H 1.0 - Second home shirt (long sleeve) with home shorts & home socks.
S H 1.1 - Second home shirt (short sleeve) with home shorts & home socks.
H or S H - Unknown me now which design home kits used in this matches, but I assume used home shirt.

Home shirt with white turn-down collar, which also used Liverpool F.C. in cold weather I name how "Second home shirt". Why this shirt from my site have name "Second home shirt", only for classification of the kits.

With second home shirt, Liverpool used home shorts (white color) and home socks (red-white color), but possible in one of away matches used away shorts (black color) away socks (white color).

Home shirt with turn-down collar Liverpool used more seasons. 1933-34 to 1939-40, 1944-45 & 1946-47 to 1957-58. For all this seasons home shirt with turn-down collar was some changes, how for fabric, as and color collar. Whether indeed on a rack of a collar of a button or not. In down will soon show different variants home shirt with turn-down collar. What about fabrics for home shirt with turn-down collar. The fabric was used different, both on thickness, and on structure of a fabric and on its properties.

Here you can to see different (in red ring) betveem second home shirt long sleeve (white turn-down collar & Liverbird season 1956-57 (1 image), from  season 1957-58 (3 image) - white rod.

Author site "" Dave Moor, has assumed, that shirts with a short sleeve, were used in good weather, and with a long sleeve, in cold. The logic in it is, but may be so business in other.

Else what you know, home shirt with turn-down collar and long sleeves also made from different fabrics on thickness.

My pages about history of Liverpool shirts in 50s years, most likely, contain mistakes in dating use of a shirt with a while turn-down collar or with V-neck collar. Why it is difficult, not so it is a lot of photos (at me) these years and very little where there is a date when the photo is made. It concerns also a photo of a Liverpool team.

Interesting fact. Have one paradoks, answer to which at me is not present. In one of last home match af Anfield, versus Sheffield United (12.04.1958), Liverpool played in home shirt with white turn-down collar & Liverbird and long sleeves. What 12 April was cold weather or there were other reasons (photo in left Billy Liddell).

More about home shirt with V-neck collar & Liverbird, read here.

Some late I will show different turn-down collar which used Liverpool, on home shirt in 30s-40s-50s years.

How I assume. shirts with turn-down collar, which also used Liverpool F.C. also can used in training match or Reserves and Liverpool "A", "B" teams in seasons 1958-59 & 1959-60. Fragment with pre-season team photo1959-60 or 1960-61.
