The biggest distintive feature for Liverpool players shirt
again lies on the Carlsberg logo.
Top: Carlsberg Logo on replica shirt is smaller and you can realise the gap between
the top of letter C and the black & white parallel strips is wider, owing to smaller
letter C.
Bottom: Carlsberg Logo on players shirt is bigger and you can realise the gap
between the top of letter C and the black & white parallel strips is narrower, owing
to bigger letter C.
When the replica shirt (top one) is placed in alignment with
the players shirt (bottom one), you can see the actual size difference of the Carlsberg
logo.
Not only the Carlsberg sponsor but also the Reebok motif
being bigger on players shirt.
Top: Viewing from the relative position of the Liverpool crest and neck pattern,
the Reebok motif on a replica shirt is much shorter.
Bottom: Viewing from the relative position of the Liverpool crest and neck pattern,
the Reebok motif on a players shirt is much longer.
Liverpool players shirts (no matter home or away) of season
1999-2000 are also characterised by not having the rigid plastic logo at the centre rear
of the backside. The replica shirt on the left has such a logo but not for players shirt
on the right.
On back side replica shirt label "OFFICIAL
MERCHANDISE" |

2000-01
Home players & replica shirt
Manufacturer: Reebok
Club sponsor: Carlsberg
Years worn: 2000-02
In this home shirt Liverpool first played (how second home shirt) in home
Testimonial Ronnie Moran match versus Celtic (Glasgow, Scotland), 4-1, 15.05.2000, at
Anfield.
Replica shirt short sleeve price: J39,99 (the price is specified
in a year of made and sale of this shirt, 2000-01)
Why on my site you can read "Second home player shirt", only for
classification of the kits. on my site.
Attention! The 2000-01 away and 2001-02 third match shirt has
three major differences from a replica. 1) The shirt has a large Carlsberg logo that is
27cm wide. 2) The Reebok logo on the chest is made from rubber and NOT embroidered into
the shirt. 3) There is NO ‘hydromove’ logo on the right sleeve. Match issued shirts
for the UEFA cup had the smaller Carlsberg logo but still had rubber Reebok logos and no
‘hydromove’ tags to help differentiate them from replicas. Obviously the shirts used
in the Premier League with large Carlsberg logos are much more valuable than the UEFA Cup
shirts with small Carlsberg logos. If you cannot distinguish a player shirt from a replica
or a semifinished item, consult to Michael Yip
(www.liverpoolkits.com).

On home replica shirt have plastic logo
"HYDROMOVE". To see different in left, in player shirt this logo, not. Left
image, plastic logo "HYDROMOVE" on goalkeeper replica shirt, it is located
hardly below a collar in back side shirt.
1st image, Steven Gerrard in player shirt with short sleeve.
2nd and 3rd images Vladimir Smicer & Markus Babbel in (player) shirt with short sleeve
in right sleeve have plastic logo "HYDROMOVE".
In this match some Liverpool players (Markus Babbel, Vladimir Smicer, Emile Heskey,
Robbie Fowler) played in away shirt with short sleeve, but not this main. Main what some
players played in away FA Cup Final shirt with short sleeve, in right sleeve have plastic
logo "HYDROMOVE", haw on replicas shirt, why was as, answer may be you find read
text in page about away FA Cup Final shirt here.
Top: Reebok
letters on replica shirt is embroidered.
Bottom: Reebok letters on players shirt is embossed with rubber.
As usual, Liverpool players shirts used in the domestic
competition has much bigger Carlsberg logo. When I place a replica shirt (above) in line
with the players shirt (below), the size difference of Carlsberg is very huge indeed. |
