Warrior Football to be re-branded as New Balance in 2015-16?
  22 August  2014

Warrior Football, the kit supplier for Liverpool, Stoke City, Porto and Sevilla, will be re-branded as New Balance reports The Anfield Wrap, a popular website and magazine. New Balance is a parent company of Warrior Sports, who entered the football market in 2012.

  The End of Warrior Football?

Warrior Sports was founded in 1992 by the former Lacrosse player David Morrow producing the game-changing titanium lacrosse shafts. In 2012, Liverpool FC announced at that time record-breaking deal with Warrior Football, a subsidiary of New Balance since 2004.

In late 2012, Warrior unveiled their first football boot, the Warrior Skreamer S-Lite. A few weeks later, the company signed Marouane Fellaini to wear their new Skreamer boots. Warrior Football also managed to sign several more world class players, including Vincent Kompany. It's very likely that Warrior Football will also swoop Samir Nasri and Alvaro Negredo soon, after both Manchester City players played with whiteout Warrior Boots.

In the case of Warrior Football is re-branded as New Balance, it's uncertain if New Balance keep the three Warrior silos (Skreamer, Gambler, Superheat) or will launch new silos in Summer 2014.

According to the Anfield Wrap, all current kits will be re-branded with the New Balance label from the 2015-16 season.

Warrior was often criticized by fans for their kit designs for the Liverpool 13-14 Away and Third Kits.

Liverpool’s 2015/16 New Balance home, away and third kits ‘leaked’ online

This images were leaked on Twitter (Picture: @Kop365)

We may only be halfway through the current season, but already kit leaks are starting to appear, reportedly showing off what teams will be wearing next term.

Pictures of what is claimed to be Manchester United’s new Adidas strip were spotted online yesterday to mixed reviews and now Liverpool fans can see a preview of what the Reds may be sporting in 2015/16.

Images of Liverpool’s new home, away and third strips, made by Warrior’s parent company New Balance, have all been leaked.

The home shirt is reported to be a basic red number with white trim, while New Balance have ditched the yellow away strip to go for a cleaner white look.

The third kit, meanwhile, is similar to this season’s black strip, but has been smartened up for a sharper look.

Whether these leaks prove to be accurate or not, one player who certainly won’t be pulling on the new kit is Steven Gerrard.

More than 1,000 fans gathered inside the stadium's Centenary Stand to catch an instant glimpse of the club's unmistakable red kit, the first to be designed by New Balance.

Billy Hogan, the Reds' chief commercial officer, said: "We are very excited to be launching our first kit in partnership with New Balance, which is one of the world's leading sportswear brands.

"Like LFC, New Balance has over 100 years of heritage and it's fitting that the first kit launched as part of this record-breaking partnership celebrates the club's illustrious history and worldwide fanbase."
