This shirt (№ 29 Stephen Wright) was issued to Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler to
commemorate Liverpool's historic cup treble in 2001. These shirts were never worn by
Liverpool in any matches. They were made up as gifts / commemorative souvenirs and only
given to the players following the 2001 treble-winning success. Most of Liverpool's
players understandably kept the shirt they were given: I have only ever seen two shirts
like this in over five years - they are unbelievably rare!
We must also remember this post-Treble celebration, but the
shirts worn by players are only typical big Carlsberg player shirts with EPL patches
ironed on sleeves and carried no special embroidery..
This presentation win 3 cups was at Anfield, may be not match
day. If you know date this presentation please contact us.
The shirt bears the large Carlsberg logo associated with standard Liverpool match
shirts from that season. In addition, the Reebok logo is felt embossed and there is no
Hydromove tag on the right sleeve. There were some replica 'Treble Winners' shirts made
available for supporters to buy in Liverpool's club shop. However, these shirts carried
the specifications associated with standard replicas from that season and were completely
different to the shirts that the players were given. I obtained the shirt via an
ex-professional who had good contacts with Liverpool at the time and have a signed COA
from that ex-professional.
