In a season 1919-20 the design home shirt has changed. Liverpool used home shirt fifteen seasons, 1919-20 to 1930-34 (time of use home shirt is probably inexact). Liverpool used home shirt how in all home, as and in more away matches.

This fragment with card Liverpool team 1924-25. How you to see on Liverpool players dressing not new shirts, Have differents in color home shirts and socks, socks some dark. It is clear that the shirts were repeatedly washed and faded.

This Gordon Hodgson, I not know when was made this photos. Hodgson signed deal with Liverpool 14 December 1925. How I think, may be I mistake or photos was retouched. We to see lacing on collar, but we not to see lacing on collar to down (how on team photo). Why here this photos, simple this one of big photo, here we can to see Liverpool home shirt. difficult write when made this photos, mey be near 1930s. On my look On my look, on Gordon Hodgson the shirt is sewn from a thicker fabric. Fragment of collar, middle, with team photo 1930-31.

There was little change to the home strip during this period the only difference being the addition of white lining inside the laced collar of the red home shirt.

Archie Rawlings and Danny Shone on card which printed in 1925 (with site vintagefootballers.com). Difficult say, was stripes on socks in original photo. Or color socks annd stripes this the liberty of the artist.

This of course not Liverpool shirt, this rare Arsenal shirt with FA Cup Final 1927 (I without Arsenal emblem with shirt). Why to do this shirt, simple what you know as the shirt of those times really looks. Besides, most likely (proofs are not present), Liverpool used shirts made by firm "Bukta", dominating at that time.

My pages about history of Liverpool shirts in 20th years, most likely, contain mistakes in dating use of a away kits. Why it is difficult, not so it is a lot of photos (at me) these years and very little where there is a date when the photo is made. It concerns also a photo of a Liverpool team.

In a season 1922-23 the design away shirt has changed. Liverpool used away shirt fourteen seasons, 1922-23 to 1935-36 (time of use away shirt is probably inexact).

Big question, color socks which played Liverpool inseason 1923-24, David Moors (historicalkits.co.uk) think what Liverpool played in red socks, I think may be color socks was other, may be black. I else not to see in newspaper or Liverpool programmes about this information. If know what any, write to me, I will glad any information.

I think for all 14th season when Liverpool used this design away shirt, this away shirt made with some echanges (on a collar and thickness of a fabric).

May be socks which used Liverpool was black color, I as assume. in 20s years have some color cards when on Liverpool players socks was are painted in black color, course in life all can was different (to see in below). Course of may be I mistake and and the artist drew without knowing objective information, not only about Liverpool.

Bukta, founded in 1879, were the first mass manufacturer of football kits, and remained so until Humphrey Brothers Clothing were formed in 1920 in Wilmslow, Cheshire. In 1924 they became Umbro. Although these two Companies came to dominate the market they relied upon distributors and the local sports outfitters rather than supplying clubs direct.

In a season 1924-25 the design third shirt has changed. Liverpool used third shirt four seasons, 1921-22 to 1924-25 (time of use third shirt is probably inexact). In season 1921-22, this shirt was used how away shirt.

I also have a question about the color of socks, course in this match two teams (Reds, Stripes) can was in red color socks.

Of course in 20-30-40-50s years goalkeepers played not in goalkeeper shirt, they played in woolen a sweater. Sweaters was different colors, but main was green.

If Liverpool field players to go in pitch with season 1939-40 in shirts with player numbers, Liverpool goalkeepers played in this season how and late in goalkeeper shirts without player number. Only with season 1974-75, on Liverpool goalkeeper shirt can to see player number.

But in my each season rewiev about Liverpool goalkeeper kit in 20s 30s years, you can again read, what Liverpool goalkeepers, here Elisha Scott played in dark shorts (black, navy or gray), when Liverpool field players. This practice only existed with the goalkeepers of Liverpool or with the goalkeepers of other teams, I have no answer. Since you need to have more complete information.
