Replica shirt short sleeve price: J15,95 (the price is specified
in a year of made and sale of this shirt, 1986-87, not for Liverpool FC shop. I not sale what you to see on this site, I not owner thos things)
In a end season 1984-85 the design home shirt has changed. Liverpool used home
shirt four seasons, 1984-85, 1985-86, 1986-87 & 1987-88. In season 1984-85 &
1987-88, this shirt was used how second home shirt. Liverpool used home shirt how in all
home, as and in more away matches.
H 1.0 - Home shirt (CROWN PAINTS logo two lines) with
home shorts & home socks.
H 1.1 - Home shirt (without special embroidery Charity
Shield & CROWN PAINTS logo two lines) with home shorts & home socks.
H 1.- * - Unknown me now which kits used in this
matches, but I assume used home shirt.
In 1985 Liverpool changed their kit manufacturer after a long association with
Umbro. The new kit supplier was Adidas and the new kit was actually in use at the end of
the 1984-85 season for the fateful Heysel European Cup Final. The first Adidas Liverpool
kit was plain red with the three Adidas stripes in white on the shoulders and the sides of
the shorts. The stripe effect also carried on through the V-neck of the shirt along with
the end of the sleeves, Within the stripes of the shirt the Liver bird and the Adidas
badge are repeated and can only be seen on close inspection, The club sponsors remained
Crown Paints.
This was not first in history club, when in
one of match end season, Liverpool used kits next season. This was how in Friendly, as in
official matches. For example, in matches:
European Cup Final, vs Juventus (Turin, Italy), 29.05.1985.
Full list to see here.
In season 1985-86, Liverpool starter in shirt CROWN PAINTS on two lines, but after
New Year, the design CROWN PAINTS logo was change, written on one line. Why was change
sponsor logo, I not know (may be with problems with TV).
In season 1986-87, Liverpool again starter in shirt CROWN
PAINTS on two lines. Written on two lines so it became larger (and easier to see on a TV
screen), The shirt badges upon the replica shirts are an embossed material where as they
would have been fully stitched upon the players issue shirts, a trend that has been seen
through the majority of Liverpool shirt since.
In Charity Shield (16.08.1986) match was used simple home shirt (photo in top left
side page, Alan Hansen H 1.1), in shirt not was special embroidery to this match. The
special embroidery as was absent in matches Charity Shield 1971, 1974, 1979, 1980, 1982,
1983, 1984, 1986, 1988, 1989, 1990 & 1992. Liverpool also played in 60's Charity
Shield matches, but and this matches used simple shirt, without special embroidery.
Liverpool played two Screen Sport Super Cup Final (16.09.1986& 30.09.1986)
matches was used simple home shirt in shirt not was special embroidery to this match. Also
was and with Dubai Super Cup match, match between Champions England and Scotland, was used
simple home shirt in shirt not was special embroidery to this match.
I think what in sale, home replica shirt with Crown Paints
logo in one line, not was. One interesting, I have some photos with season 1986-87,
when Liverpool Reserves played in away match versus Leicester City (26.08.1986), in home
shirts with Crown Paints logo in one line (photo in top left side page, John Durnin H
1.3). Was this only in one or more matches in Central League, I not know.
This
screen shots witch home Division One match versus Chelsea (14.12.1986), you to see
Liverpool players, one of riddles, why on back side shirts different design player
numbers. Standard player number on Liverpool shirt for season 1986-87, this stitched cloth
number on shirt. But how you to see, in this match some Liverpool players have felt
numbers, Paul Walsh № 7 & Mark Lawrenson \№ 4. This was not only in this match in
season 1986-87. I know what was and in away match versus Newcastle United (23.08.1986),
may be and other matches may be not.
In May
2020 my friend Michael Yip received screenshoot when in Charity Shield match 16 August
1986 Steve McMahon in shirt without Adidas logo. Michael shared this information with me.
What was my surprise after watching the video from the match.Steve McMahon played in shirt
without Adidas logo, but and without Liverbird. How you to see on photos. 1 - Steve
McMahon to go at Wembley pitch. 2 - His played in first half match. 3 - in second half
Charity Shield match, Steve McMahon played in right shirt.
Further, more, I posted a post on my Twitter page and got a
message that the Liverpool team photo (summer 1986) has the same shirt, but only it is
worn by Steve Nicol.

interesting Liverpool shirt which was find. Away shirt without Adidas logo and without
Liverbird and with player number which used in season 1986-87. My friend Michael Yip
written to me history this away shirt. On facebook page Michael Yip written "I
by interviewing the predecessor owner of the shirt. His father was gifted this shirt by a
Liverpool staff after a closed-door post-season friendly match played between Liverpool FC
first team and a corporate body team. As the match was a closed-door one, no official
match day records and photos can be found nowadays. But as the shirt has signs of minor
mudstained dirts and slight wearing, it's quite probably the #13 shirt was also worn in
the aforesaid friendly match.".
Else year ago if I to see
Liverpool shirt with number 13, in 70-80 years, I say what this shirt was used only for
staff (coachs) Please read my article "Liverpool shirt with number 13 in
