elite players.
The event, which has been organised by Liverpool FC's official charity, the
Liverpool FC Foundation, will bring together two teams that will be selected by Steven
Gerrard and Jamie Carragher as some of the most influential players they have played with
or against.
Gerrard will take on the role of captain for one team, while Carragher will take on
the same role for the other All-Star side. Managers and the final line-up of each All-Star
team will be announced in the coming weeks.
Player recruitment is well underway, and players confirmed include Luis Suarez,
Fernando Torres, Pepe Reina, Dirk Kuyt, Xabi Alonso, Thierry Henry, John Terry and Didier
Drogba, to name a few.
Current Reds first-team players who are not on international duty will also play
some part, as well as some of the Academy's brightest stars, plus the club's backroom
staff will also be on hand to offer support.
Gerrard will leave Liverpool at the end of the season and this special match will
give fans the opportunity to see him alongside some of their favourites - all to raise
funds for the local community.

All-Star Charity match raises Ј1 million
26th May 2015
The Liverpool All-Star Charity match, which took place at Anfield on March 29, has
raised Ј1 million for local charities.
The match, which was hosted by the club's charity, the Liverpool FC Foundation,
featured an array of elite players such as Luis Suarez, Luis Garcia, Pepe Reina, John
Terry and Thierry Henry.
Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher helped to bring together the two stellar teams,
calling upon the stars they had played with or against during their Reds careers.
More than 45,000 people attended the Anfield fixture, which ended in a 2-2 draw
between Gerrard and Carragher's respective XIs.
Liverpool FC Foundation will use the funds to maintain and extend its existing
programmes as well as making donations to its partner charities, Alder Hey Children's
Charity, Claire House Children's Hospice, Centre 56, Positive Futures and Cash for Kids,
to help support an array of different projects.
Gerrard said: "I'm delighted that we have raised Ј1 million through what was
such an enjoyable day for the fans, the local community, and the players who took part.
"I hope that these funds will make a real difference to all of the local
charities and I would like to thank everyone who supported the match because we couldn't
have achieved this without such fantastic support."
Andrea Cooper, head of Liverpool FC Foundation, added: "The Liverpool All-Star
Charity match was a great occasion for the LFC family, bringing together fans, the local
community, staff, players and former players. We are thrilled and so proud to have raised
Ј1million, which will help to support our Foundation and our partner charities.
"These funds will not only help the Foundation to continue to work with
thousands of individuals but it will also help support different programmes and
initiatives that will benefit many people across this great city."
Clare White, chief executive of Alder Hey Children's Charity commented: "The
Liverpool football family has always been hugely supportive of our charity and we look
forward to continuing our long standing partnership with them in the years ahead.
"We are extremely grateful to the Liverpool FC Foundation for this amazing
donation which will be used to help fund lifesaving medical equipment, vital research and
arts and play activities in our new hospital.
"I would like to thank everyone who helped to raise such an incredible amount.
They have all played their part in creating a world-class hospital for thousands of
children and young people."

Why this shirt from my site have name "Second

This shirt was used in season 2014-15 (with 1 July 2014 to 30 June 2015). Yes,
these kits used not players Liverpool FC, but Liverpool FC Legends team, also used
sometime used official Liverpool F.C. kits.
This was not first in history club, when in
one of match end season, Liverpool used kits next season. This was how in Friendly, as in
official matches. For example, in matches:
European Cup Final, vs Juventus (Turin, Italy), 29.05.1985.
Full list to see here.
Special one-off match Liverpool Legends patch "-" on the left sleeveof
the shirt.
On back side this shirt, in down was used print "LFC Founation". This
print was also used in match Gerrard All-Star versus Carragher All-Star (29.03.2015), at
Anfield.
In this match Jerzy Dudek (1-2 images), Steve McManaman (3-4
images) and Michael Owen (5-6 images) played for two teams, how for Real (Madrid) Legends,
as and for Liverpool F.C. Legends.
For the information: Jerzy Dudek played for Liverpool
(2001-07) and for Real Madrid (2007-11). Steve McManaman played for Liverpool (1987-99)
and for Real Madrid (1999-2003). Michael Owen played for Liverpool (1990-2004) and for
Real Madrid (2004-05).
In this match Robbie Fowler and Ian Rush played in shirts
with number 9 on back side shirt.
Left side image, goalkeeper shirts in locker room before
match. In match Sander Westerveld and Jerzy Dudek played in goalkeeper shirts with short
sleeves. In what the reason? And the answer is simple, the matter is that they cut off
sleeves before the beginning of a match. At the left you can see a fragment of a sleeve
(Jerzy Dudek shirt), the edge is cut off roughly. Else one detail, Jerzy Dudek li9ke
played in goalkeeper shirts with short sleeves.
