Home players shirt
Manufacturer: may be Umbro or Bukta
Years worn: 1934-40 & may be 1947-49
In this designhome shirt Liverpool first played in ...
In a season 1934-35 the design home shirt has changed. Liverpool used home shirt
eight seasons, 1934-35 to 1939-40, 1947-48 & 1947-49 (time of use home shirt is
probably inexact). Liverpool used home shirt how in all home, as and in more away matches.

My pages about history of Liverpool shirts in 30th years,
most likely, contain mistakes in dating use of a home kits. Why it is difficult, not so it
is a lot of photos (at me) these years and very little where there is a date when the
photo is made. It concerns also a photo of a Liverpool team.
With season 1934-35 change design home shirt, was used red
turn-down collar with two white buttons. May be with season 1939-40, on autumn-spring
variant home shirt, collar to have again of white lining inside the turn-down collar and
with one with button.
What you understand, I have two photos, how written on site
(www.paimages.co.uk) with away match Division One versus Chelsea (16.09.1936). How
understand, photo made in one match or date match other. On left photo Tom Bradshaw in
black socks with red top (full photo to see here). On right photo Alfred Hanson in red-white socks (full photo to see here). This two players was in this match.
This photo of Everton programme (19.09.1936) with site
(evertoncollection.org.uk) made may be in August 1936. Clearly, for pre season photo on
Liverpool players can any style socks.
This photo with site (lfchistory.net) with away match
Division One versus Wolves (05.12.1936) was made before match. Back row: W.H. Cartwright
(Director), Berry Nieuwenhuys, Benjamin Dabbs, G Richards (Director), Alf Hobson, Matt
Busby, Fred Rogers, W.J. Harrop (Chairman).
Front row: Tom Bush, Fred Howe, Harry Eastham, Tommy Cooper,
Jack Balmer, Alf Hanson.
Note that players roll up their sleeves at shirts, this is
the style of the 30s, 40s and 50s. It's like now (2018), players don't shirts in shortss
as the rules require and the referees look at these violations through their fingers. Most
likely at any time the player can get a yellow card.
This photo Willie Fagan which they played in Preston North
End shirt (1936-37, image with site twitter.com/shirtcollection?lang=ga), Why you to see
this shirt, simple original shirt that time. I not have photo rare Liverpool shirt 30s
years. Shirt was manufacturer company Bukta. On photo you can to see label outfitters
(sport shop) in Preston, when to buy kits region near Preston.
Willie Fagan after played for Liverpool (1937-52).
I now not know which company manufacturer kits for Liverpool FC, B ukta, Umbro or
from a different manufacturer. Liverpool to buy kits in "Jack Sharp outfitters -
sport shop".

Away players shirt
Manufacturer: may be Umbro
Years worn: 1923-36
In this away shirt Liverpool first played in ...
In a season 1922-23 the design away shirt has changed. Liverpool used away shirt
fourteen seasons, 1922-23 to 1935-36 (time of use away shirt is probably inexact). In
season 1935-36, Liverpool may be used with away shirt different kits:
Away shorts and away socks
Home shorts and away socks
A 1.0 - Away shirt with away shorts & away socks.
A 1.0 * - Away shirt with away shorts & away
socks.
A 1.1 * - Away shirt with home shorts & away

Difficult say which color socks used Liverpool with away shirt, red or black. About
this I not good iformation. Only David Moor with site (www.historicalkits.co.uk) offer
variants Liverpool kits, if why interesting visit onhis Liverpool FC pages.
My pages about history of Liverpool shirts in 30th years,

Jack Balmer (5 Sep 1936) lace collar. Harry Eastham (10 March
1937) red turn-down collar.
Lace collar used in season
1928-29.
I think for all 14th season when Liverpool used this design away shirt, this away
shirt made with some echanges (on a collar and thickness of a fabric).

Second away players shirt
Manufacturer: may be Umbro or Bukta
Years worn: 1936-53
In this design second away shirt Liverpool first played in ...
In a season 1936-37 the design second away shirt has changed. Liverpool used second
away shirt seventeen seasons, 1936-37 to 1952-53 (time of use away shirt is probably
inexact). In season 1936-37, Liverpool used with away shirt different kits:
Away shorts and home socks
Away shorts and away socks
S A 1.0 - Second away shirt with away shorts
& home socks.
Why on my site you can read "Second away player
shirt", only for classification of the kits. This shirts cardinally different in
design with"Away player shirt".
This design shirt without player number can used in Second World War time as and
after SWW. If you do not know, then during the war, enterprises in the UK produced
products for the army and navy and there were food caps for food, which concerns
industrial goods, you need to look for information. What do I mean by this, but to the
fact that the football clubs of Great Britain "extracted" the form in different
ways and some clubs changed the usual colors of shirts.
Liverpool FC was very careful about their uniforms and what reserves and yout teams
can used old style kits,
Else one, can used this design shirt without player number after 1946 years, big
question. In Official matches main team in Division One and FA Cup was used shirts only
with player numbers on back side shirts. How was in matches Central League difficult say.
My pages about history of Liverpool shirts in 30th years,
most likely, contain mistakes in dating use of a away kits. Why it is difficult, not so it
is a lot of photos (at me) these years and very little where there is a date when the

Back row: John Browning, Ted Savage, Alf Hobson, Ben Dabbs,
Fred Rogers, Alf Hanson, Front row: Berry Nieuwenhuys, Phil Taylor, Tom Cooper, Fred Howe,
Vic Wright, it looks like it's certainly at The Victoria Ground, Stoke on Boxing Day 1936.
Photo with site (the-saleroom.com) in left side page I to
find some time ago, but not used as how was written text "Liverpool Shirt - white
with red collar - probably an away issue 1950s". Colar this away shirt differs from
issue away shirt 1950s, how and long cuffs. This white course of can used other club or
clubs in UK 30s - 40s, only on this moment you can to see which shirt can played
Liverpool.
Red turn-down collar with second away player shirt with
seasons 1936-37 may be 1939-40 and Second World War time.
I think for all 22nd season when Liverpool used this design away shirt, this away
shirt made with some changes (on a collar, cuffs and thickness of a fabric), how and on
manufacturer.
Red turn-down collars with second away player shirts, may be
used in seasons 1936-37 (left image) to 1957-58 (right image).
