Liverpool's new home kit based on European
Cup-winning shirt of 1984
• Liverpool's home kit for 2013-14 season draws on past glories
• 'It will remind the players of the club's success,' says Ian Rush
Liverpool have revealed their home kit for next season, basing it on the shirt worn
in 1983-84 season. Photograph: Publicity image
Liverpool have revealed their home kit for next season, basing it on the shirt worn
in 1983-84 when the club won a fourth European Cup with victory on penalties over Roma.
The kit, manufactured by Warrior, met with approval from two members of that
European Cup-winning side.
"I really like the shirt," Alan Kennedy said. "The stripe and collar
details resemble the shirt we wore during the cup final in 1984. The new shirt is very
light and I'm told the material will keep players cool, something we desperately needed
back when we were playing in the sweltering heat in Rome."
Ian Rush believes it will be "one for the fans" but also popular with the
players. "It'll remind them of the club's history of success and drive them even more
to bring that success back to the club," he said.

This comment on design Liverpool kits season 2013-14, written
Liverpool fas (nikname Garry352). "Home kit is good. Can't got wrong with that. The
second and third kit?!! I see a company that has no idea of what Football is. Since it's
american based, they probably have no clue what design to use. Can't be surprised, they
are probably feeling arrogantly proud of these tacky "soccer" jerseys. Instead
of having a suit in the office play Picasso while drinking some expensive skotch, why
don't they just ask a normal Liverpool fan off the street for some advise? You give me a
20 minutes a pencil and a paper and I would have sketched a way better design than these
two. These shirts won't sell much, which has me thinking they are just looking to sell big
in the home jersey."
While the reported away and third kit designs have been met with much derision.
Interesting fact: In away FA Cup
match versus A F C Bournemouth, on 52' Liverpool player Martin Skrtel in struggle for a
riding ball with Andrew Surman, has received a section on a head. After bandaging a head,
it has again appeared on a field in a new away shirt. In an old away shirt it could not
play, as it is soiled by blood. The away shirt in which it has continued to play, was
without a surname of the player and without number of the player. Whether it is possible
to play so, most likely, is not present.

Revealed: LFC's 2013-14 away kit
4th June 2013
Liverpool FC are delighted to reveal our new Warrior away kit for 2013-14.
Pre-order now for guaranteed worldwide delivery on launch day>>
Inspired by the patterns and graphics featured in the kits of the 1980s and 1990s,
Warrior and LFC have produced a strip which represents modern retro.
Beyond the traditional colour scheme, the neckline from the 1981 away kit has been
reworked to give the shirt a contemporary edge. The diamond print is a refreshed
interpretation of the graphics featured in the 1989-91 away strip.
The new kit has been made using War-Tech, Warrior's signature apparel technology
system.
Benefits of the War-Tech fabric include the shirt being highly breathable as well
as moisture-wicking, keeping players dry.
The four-way stretch mesh panelling under the arms and across the back allow
airflow and ventilation, helping players stay comfortable in core heat areas of the body.
Liverpool's new 2013-14 Warrior away kit goes on sale on Thursday, July 4.

If I right remember, white color new home goalkeeper shirt
will made for season 1988-89 (how third goalkeeper shirt), but not know used or not. It is
surprising, but in season 2010-11 (image right) was made away player shirt. (
- image with site
www.facebook.com/pages/Dragon-Soccer-Jersey-Collection/147802318619333)
I think, what white color need
only used for players shirt (away or third) as traditional color, but not goalkeeper
shirt. Not one of Friendly matches in seaso 2013-14 not used home goalkeeper shirt, this
means, that the basic short for goalkeepers will be away goalkeeper shirt.

Interesting fact: Egyptian keeper wears Liverpool shirt during game
February 7th, 2014
For some bizarre reason, this goalkeeper for Almahla in the Egyptian Premier League
was wearing a Liverpool goalkeeper jersey. The kit man taped a McDonalds adverts over
Liverpool’s Standard Chartered sponsorship.
Last minute nip down to the shops when they realised they left their goalkeeper kit
at home? Sure beats turning an outfield top inside out. |
Match this was between El Ahly Cairo - Ghazl Mahalla (06.02.2014), at Cairo
International Stadium.
