Liverpool FC unveils new home kit inspired by Bill
Shankly's last season in charge
5th May 2023
Liverpool FC has unveiled its brand-new home kit for the 2023-24 season, which pays
homage to the legendary Bill Shankly's last season in charge of the Reds 50 years ago.
An iconic kit reimagined, it’s a classic design in bright Liverpool red with
white contrast collar and cuffs inspired by Shankly’s 1973-74 squad of FA Cup winners.
On the reverse of the jersey, the 97 emblem encased by the eternal flames sits
proudly at the nape of the neck in memory of those children, women and men who were
unlawfully killed as a result of the Hillsborough disaster.
The strip is now available to pre-order on LFC’s official online store, in
official LFC stores (UK and internationally) and the LFC Store App for delivery on launch
day, Thursday May 18.
The 1973-74 season was Shankly’s 14th and final campaign as Reds boss, and he
steered a team featuring the likes of Ian Callaghan, Kevin Keegan and Ray Clemence to FA
Cup glory.
The current men’s squad will debut the new kit in the last home match of the
season against Aston Villa on May 20 – Anfield’s final game before the Anfield Road
Stand expansion is complete, adding 7,000 more seats to the stadium’s capacity.
To launch the kit, a new video campaign is set in a magical photobooth that
transports the current squad back to this specific era of the 1970s in Liverpool.
The stills campaign also plays homage to the 1970s from a set and styling
perspective, with players including Jordan Henderson, Mohamed Salah, Missy Bo Kearns and
Taylor Hinds featuring.
The players are relaxed and playful, portraying the soulful ’70s feel with the
sound provided by local Liverpool musician Pixey with her ’70s-inspired track Just Move.
The video also features the club’s record appearance holder Callaghan, who wore the
shirt this new kit is inspired by in the 1973-74 season.
Men’s club captain Henderson said: “The new home shirt is a classic. Given the
inspiration behind the design it feels iconic and a nod to the history of this great club.
We’re looking forward to wearing it at Anfield for the Villa game.”
Women’s vice-captain Hinds added: “We’re always proud to wear the LFC jersey.
It’s always exciting to see the new design and when it has a link to the history of this
club it makes it even more special. We’re excited to wear next season.
Both stadium and match jerseys have Nike’s Dri-FIT technology to help stay cool
during intense games or training sessions.
In line with LFC’s The Red Way sustainability programme, the Nike kit is
sustainably made with on-the-pitch and replica jerseys constructed with 100 per cent
recycled polyester fabric, which is made from recycled plastic bottles.
Plastic bottles are collected, cleaned and melted down to produce a high-quality
yarn for manufacturing and this is part of Nike’s wider Move to Zero initiative, with
football apparel leading the way in sustainability.
The club’s name and number style for the back of the shirt takes inspiration from
the city, with a contemporary take on Liverpool’s historic street signs. The product is
printed with water-based inks as a more sustainable option and will be worn for cup
competitions and friendlies.
The home kit will be available in men’s, women’s and junior sizes, and in a
match and stadium version. Jerseys can also be personalised with the brand-new Premier
League name and numbering.
At launch, 2022-23 squad lists will be used to print on the new home jersey during
the pre-order and launch phase. Full 2023-24 squad lists will be confirmed ahead of the
new season. Full T&Cs on shirt printing are available here.
As with previous seasons, the club is offering a 10 per cent discount off the price
of the home shirt to all LFC Official Members and season ticket holders. This is also
available for UK key workers via Blue Light and Network and students via Student Beans.
More information on eligibility and how to redeem the discount can be found here.
The new LFC home anthem jacket and pre-match jersey are also available for
pre-order.
The club’s 2022-23 home training and lifestyle collection will be launched with
the on-sale date of May 18. The home goalkeeper kit will be launched at a later date, with
more details to follow.

LFC prepares to proudly support the Poppy Appeal 2023
31st October 2023
Liverpool FC will show its support for the Royal British Legion's Poppy Appeal 2023
next month with shirts embellished with poppies to mark Remembrance Day.
The Reds’ women’s team will wear their poppy shirts on Sunday November 5 when
they take on Leicester City at Prenton Park. The men’s team will follow the weekend
after by wearing their poppy shirts at their fixture against Brentford on Sunday November
12 at Anfield.
All players will sign their home poppy jerseys, which are worn to remember the
service and sacrifice of the armed forces community from Britain and the Commonwealth, and
donate them to the Royal British Legion to be auctioned to raise funds for the Poppy
Appeal 2023.
Men’s captain Virgil van Dijk said: “As a team we proudly wear the poppy shirt
to show our support and thanks to the armed forces community and their families for the
sacrifices they make for us all.”
The Royal British Legion relies solely on the support of the public to provide
lifelong support for both serving and ex-serving personnel and their families all year
round.
Last year, the Reds’ commemorative shirts raised almost Ј49,000 for the Royal
British Legion, and in the last 10 years LFC has raised more than Ј382,000 through
donated poppy shirts.
Women’s skipper Niamh Fahey said: “It’s an honour to wear the poppy on our
shirts to support and remember those who give so much to defend our freedom and way of
life.”
A minute’s silence will be observed ahead of kick-off at both fixtures, and
further support to the Poppy Appeal will be given through the LFC matchday programme,
perimeter LED boards and a Premier League LFC poppy pin on sale in LFC’s online retail
store.
One hundred per cent of the proceeds raised from sales of the badge will go
directly to the Royal British Legion. To purchase a club-branded pin badge and show your
support, please visit https://store.liverpoolfc.com/lfc-rbl-poppy or www.poppyshop.org.uk.
The club will also proudly host ex-service personnel and representatives from the
Royal British Legion, as well as veterans from LFC Foundation’s military veterans
programme, at Anfield to enjoy the game against Brentford on November 12.

'Futuremakers' shirts from Man Utd fixture
15th December 2023
Liverpool FC's men's team will wear special-edition shirts featuring the
'Futuremakers' logo against Manchester United at Anfield on Sunday.
The Reds have teamed up with principal partner Standard Chartered to raise
awareness and funds for its Futuremakers programme, which empowers underserved young
people around the world to shape their futures by learning new skills and to improve their
chances of getting a job or starting their own businesses.
This season's shirt logo swap for the men's side will take place for the Premier
League visit of Manchester United this weekend, with Jьrgen Klopp's squad then signing
the limited-edition jerseys before they are put up for auction post-match.
Klopp and his backroom staff will also wear Futuremakers pin badges at the game in
support of the campaign.
Dubbed the 'Futuremakers x Liverpool FC' collection, the match-worn shirts will be
presented as full-sized framed football cards, allowing fans to bid on a unique
collector's item and potentially own a piece of LFC history.
Shirts from the LFC Women logo swap, which occurred for their home fixture against
Bristol City Women last weekend, are already available to bid on here.
All proceeds from both auctions will go to recipients of 'Futuremakers by Standard
Chartered' - the bank's global initiative to fight economic inequality.
The men's shirts from Sunday's fixture will be available to bid on from December 18
at CharityStars.com/SCFM - with the overall auction due to close on December 23.

LFC unveils '90s-inspired white and green away kit
for 2023-24
30th June 2023
Liverpool FC has unveiled its new white and green away kit for the 2023-24 season
– which is available to pre-order now.
The fresh strip for next season is a modern take on the 1995-96 away shirt, when
Ian Rush was club captain and the supremely talented Robbie Fowler was top goalscorer.
Pre-order the 2023-24 away kit now at our online store (UK and internationally) and
the LFC Store app for delivery from launch day on July 7
The jersey features the green and white quarter pattern with black collar and cuff,
updated with a digital effect treatment layering tonal greens – green spark, poison
green and pine green – for a modern twist.
The kit is finished with black shorts, black name and number, and white socks with
a black and green trim.
The 97 emblem encased by the Eternal Flames sits proudly at the nape of the neck in
memory of the children, women and men who were unlawfully killed as a result of the
Hillsborough disaster.
The away launch campaign fast forwards two decades from the ’70s-inspired home
kit to the ’90s for the new away kit.
It was a time when computers were starting to take over the workplace, mobile
phones became widespread, and the internet arrived at people’s home. Images and the
video reflect the changing technology of the time in another fun and energetic launch film
also set in a photo booth, rewinding the current squads back to the 1990s.
The soundtrack is a ’90s-inspired house track The Get Down, by LFC supporter
Jamie Unknown.
A host of players from the men’s and women’s teams feature and there’s even
an appearance from Jьrgen Klopp and Fowler, who are both wearing the brand-new away
anthem jacket.
Fowler said “I have fond memories of the 1995-96 season because of the iconic
white and green away strip and for scoring my most goals in one season. I’m a huge fan
of the new fresh take on the white and green away kit.”
The men’s team will debut this kit against Leicester City during the pre-season
tour in Singapore, while the women’s team will also debut it during their pre-season
matches in late August.
Both stadium and match jerseys have Nike’s Dri-FIT technology to help stay cool
during intense games or training sessions.
In line with LFC’s The Red Way sustainability programme, the Nike kit is
sustainably made, with on-pitch and replica jerseys constructed with 100 per cent recycled
polyester fabric, which is made from recycled plastic bottles.
Plastic bottles are collected, cleaned and melted down to produce a high-quality
yarn for manufacturing and is part of Nike’s wider Move to Zero initiative, with
football apparel leading the way in sustainability.
The club’s name and number style for the back of shirt takes inspiration from the
city, with a contemporary take on Liverpool’s historic street signs. The product is
printed with water-based inks as a more sustainable option and will be worn for cup
competitions and friendlies.
The away kit will be available in men’s, women’s and junior sizes, and in a
match and stadium version. Jerseys can also be personalised with the brand-new Premier
League name and number. At launch, current squad lists will be used to print on the new
away jersey during the pre-order and launch phase. The full 2023-24 squad lists will be
confirmed ahead of the new season. Full T&Cs on shirt printing are available here.

To bid on LFC’s match-worn poppy shirts, please visit

New third kitAlisson, Kearns and Szoboszlai surprise
fans with live reveal of LFC's 2023-24 third kit
10th August 2023
Alisson Becker, Missy Bo Kearns and Dominik Szoboszlai delivered a surprise reveal
of Liverpool FC's new 2023-24 third kit at a free fan event this evening.
The live reveal took place at the city’s historic Eventim Olympia in
collaboration with BOSS Night, who had invited hundreds of Reds fans to a sell-out
pre-season gig.
And it was a gig with an extra LFC twist as Alisson, Kearns and Szoboszlai appeared
on stage during a rendition of Allez, Allez, Allez to officially unveil the club’s third
jersey for the new season, which can now be pre-ordered ahead of its release on Thursday
August 17.
Goalkeeper Alisson was first out and impressed with a performance on lead guitar
alongside singer Kieo, before he called Kearns and Szoboszlai to join him, wearing the new
third shirt. Alisson wore the LFC x Nike tech fleece hoodie.
A closer look at the kit reveals a purple ripple pattern with black sleeve cuff,
black collarbone inserts and black side panelling. Matching shorts and purple ripple socks
complete the matchday kit.
The 97 emblem encased by the Eternal Flames sits at the nape of the neck in memory
of the children, women and men who were unlawfully killed as a result of the Hillsborough
disaster.
The LFC crest and Nike Swoosh logos have a unique speckled finish from Nike Grind,
which is made by transforming manufacturing scrap and end-of-life shoes into new recycled
materials.
When the kit is worn in European competitions this season, it will feature the LFC
Foundation patch on the reverse. LFC Foundation is the club’s official charity,
providing life-changing opportunities for young people and families both home and away.
The LFC Foundation patch can also be purchased for Ј5 and printed on the reverse
of the shirt, with proceeds supporting LFC Foundation’s international programmes. For
more information about the work of the club’s official charity please visit
liverpoolfc.com/foundation.
The third strip completes the line-up for this season alongside the new ’70s-inspired
home and ’90s-inspired away kits.
The third kit is available in men’s, women’s and junior sizes, and in a match
and stadium version. Jerseys can also be personalised with the brand-new Premier League
name and number.
As with previous seasons, the club is offering a 10 per cent discount off the price
of new kits to all LFC Official Members and season ticket holders. This is also available
for UK key workers via Blue Light and Network, and students via Student Beans. More
information on eligibility and how to redeem the discount can be found here.
Other items to be launched on August 17 include the second retail goalkeeper kit
and more from the training and lifestyle collection. The third kit collection will be
completed in September when the final training and lifestyle pieces will be added to the
collection.
Pre-order the new third kit now at our online store, the LFC Store app and in club

LFC and Standard Chartered to auction signed
