In this second home shirt Liverpool played in away Testimonial Sammy Lee match
versus Osasuna (Spain), 2-0, 01.03.1988, at El Sadar, Pamplona, Spain.
This shirt made in 1986 year, but used in 1988 year. Originally the match was
planned to play in 24th March 1987 (to see special match embroidery) versus Rangers
(Glasgow), but a game that was never played on police advice.
23 August 2015, Michael Yip (thanks it for it) send me link on video with this
match. Before we only know what was this match and what have shirts with special embroider
capital letters "SAMMY LEE TESTIMONIAL 1986-87". Course video not best, but
better have this video, when not have.
Sammy Lee not played in this match, which was injured and could not feature.
Why this shirt from my site have name "Second
home player shirt", only for classification of the kits on my site.
 
Was used a special one-off match embroidery in capital
letters "SAMMY LEE TESTIMONIAL 1986-87" on the chest of the shirt (two
variants). You to see some diffirent "1986-87" fron center Liverbird L.F.C.

Grobbelaar, Alan Hansen (photo 2) and Steve Nicol played in shirt without special match
embroidery. I wish to pay your attention, that Alan Hansen and Steve Nicol in shirt season
1987-88, not how all players.
In first half Alan Hansen (photo 1) and Steve Nicol played in shirt how and all
Liverpool players. Shorts on Alan Hansen in second half also with season 1987-88.
I think Alan Hansen and Steve Nicol during the half-time
period, they were given their own shirts, but they did not have any spare shirts with
special embroidery. This is just my guess.
